IDLIB, Syria (north press) – On Sunday, the armed opposition groups targeted the positions of the Syrian government forces east of Idlib, northwest Syria, with missiles and artillery shelling, leaving casualties.
Opposition military sources told North Press that al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room targeted positions of the government forces in al-Ruwaiha village, southeast of Idlib, with heavy artillery shells and rocket launchers.
The sources added that the targeting resulted in the death of one member and the wounding of others, in addition to the destruction of several sites in the targeted area.
The opposition groups also bombed the sites of the government forces in the city of Saraqib, east of Idlib, with casualties reported.
On Sunday morning, the government forces bombed positions of the opposition groups in the town of al-Bara and its outskirts, south of Idlib, with heavy artillery shells and rockets.
The bombing coincided with intense flight of Russian drones over Idlib, the northern countryside of Latakia, and the countryside of Hama and Aleppo.
The Idlib region and parts of other governorates have been included in an agreement between Moscow and Ankara to stop hostilities in the northwest of the country since March,2020.
