QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – “The tenth anniversary of the Syrian war renews hope to work politically to topple the dictator and the corrupt regime figures whose hands have been stained with the blood of the Syrian people,” said Diyala Harmoush, a pseudonym for a civilian activist, on Sunday.
“Although ten years have passed since the Syrian war, it has not achieved its goals regarding the departure of the despotic regime, which brought destruction, death, immigration and asylum to the Syrians,” Harmoush told North Press.
“The Syrians have suffered more than forty years from the rule of the two Assads, the father and the son, and they demonstrated in the streets of the Syrian cities shouting against the dictatorial rule, longing for the freedom,” she added.
Despite all of this, the Syrians will not return to Assad’s barn because he has nothing to offer to the Syrians in his areas of control, along with his Russian and Iranian allies, according to Harmoush.
The civil activist pointed out that the revolution has not achieved its goal in terms of changing the regime, but it got down the wall of fear through the blood , destruction and displacement, and the regime’s cruel and violent response to cut off the solution in the middle of the road.
The Syrian opponent argued that “Syrians who have demonstrated for freedom to achieve a decent life, will not go back to the situation before 2011.”
