Doha tripartite meeting aims at easing humanitarian situation: Syrian politician

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – “There are no signs for a political solution in Syria, and the Doha tripartite meeting only aimed at easing the humanitarian situation in Syria,” said Muhammad Eed, a Syrian politician and academic, on Saturday.

“The recent tripartite meeting held among Russia, Turkey, and Qatar excluded Iran, as it cannot present anything regarding the humanitarian matter because it is witnessing an economic crisis,” he added.

“The meeting held among the ministers of the three states did not include the political solution, as it is in the hands of the main player, i.e. the US,” Eed noted.

The Syrian politician and academic stressed that there no signs of a political solution, as there is no international will to intervene in Syria, as opposed to other issues like Libya.

On March 11, the Foreign Affairs Ministers of Russia, Turkey, and Qatar announced the launch of a new consultative process about Syria without Iran in order to reach a stable political solution in Syria.
