8 ISIS members killed in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) with an air cover by the US-led Global Coalition killed 8 ISIS members in the town of al-Hassin, north Deir ez-Zor.
“The Global Coalition carried out an airdrop during the operation which targeted a gathering of the ISIS sleeper cells,” a military source told North Press.
“On the background of the airdrop, clashes between the SDF and the Global Coalition forces on one side, and the ISIS sleeper cells on the other, took place and lasted for hours,” the source added.
The clashes resulted in the injury of an SDF member and the killing of 8 ISIS militants, according to the source.
