KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, eight civilians were injured in the explosion of a fuel tanker at Sarrin town turn-off, 35 km south of Kobani.
Local sources said: “Eight injured people were transported to the hospital due to the explosion that took place at the Sarrin town turn-off, south of Kobani.”
The sources added, “The fuel tanker explosion occurred in front of the fuel station (Chia) at Sarrin Junction on the M4 Motorway, south of Kobani.”
“A fire broke out in the tanker, causing it to explode, which led to significant material damage at the site of the explosion, where there is a gas station and rest house of Chia,” according to the source.
The source added that most of the injuries were light, except for one who was transferred to the operating room.
