Low toll of coronavirus cases in Syria’s northwest
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, the Syrian Interim Government, a Syrian opposition government based in Turkey and associated with the Syrian National Coalition, announced that it had not recorded any coronavirus infections in the regions of northwest Syria.
The Interim Government announced through spreadsheets on its official website that the number of recent recoveries reached seven and it has tested 404 suspected cases reporting no deaths.
On Tuesday, the Interim Government recorded three new coronavirus infections and 15 recoveries.
With the new cases, the total number of coronavirus infections in the opposition-held areas has risen to 21,214, including 637 deaths and about 19,126 recoveries.
