Mutual bombardment between government forces and opposition groups in Syria’s Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, the armed opposition groups bombed sites of the Syrian government forces in the de-escalation zone, northwest Syria.
“Al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room shelled military gatherings of the Syrian government forces in Saraqib town in the eastern countryside of Idlib, with heavy artillery shells and Grad rockets,” field source told North Press.
In a related context, the Syrian government forces renewed their shelling on the sites and fortifications of the opposition groups in Jabal al-Akrad, north of Latakia.
Field sources told North Press that the government forces shelled opposition groups in the town of al-Tuffahiya in the northern countryside of Latakia, while no casualties reported.
The areas of northwest Syria are included in the ceasefire agreement signed by Turkey and Russia in March, 2020 after a military campaign in the region.
