Recently, towns and cities in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor have witnessed protests calling for improvement of services and an increase in salaries.
Abdulhamid Hamid, co-chair of the Eastern Province in Deir ez-Zor, told North Press that they discussed the service situation in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor with the Global Coalition delegation.
They discussed the conditions of bakeries, water stations, support for the agricultural sector, and irrigation canals, Hamid added.
He pointed out that the Global Coalition pledged to provide seven electrical transformers for agriculture and water stations in the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside, in addition to providing ambulances and medical equipment for the general hospital in Hajin after the completion of its restoration.
The Coalition also designated an organization to remove mines and remnants of war in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, according to Hamid.
