Turkish forces target villages, towns in Syria’s Aleppo countryside

AZAZ, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, Turkish forces stationed in the Scientific Research Center on Azaz- Yahmul road shelled several towns and villages north Aleppo.

Turkish forces shelled the outskirts of Tel Rif’at city, Menagh Military Airport, and the village of Mara’anaz in al-Shahba’ Region, north of Aleppo, with more than 15 artillery shells, a military source told North Press.

Meanwhile, Turkish forces stationed in the town of Kaljibrin, north Aleppo countryside, shelled the villages of Ain Daqnah and Balyoniye, without reporting the amount of damage the shells left, according to the source.

Turkish forces continue targeting towns and villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo and the populated neighborhoods, leaving casualties and wounded in addition to massive material losses.

It is worth mentioning that thousands of displaced families from Afrin are living in al-Shahba’ Region following the Turkish invasion of the city of Afrin in 2018.
