Syrian Democratic Council announces the imminent holding of National Conference

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) announced, on Saturday, that the National Conference for the People of the Jazirah and the Euphrates regions will be held soon.

Amina Omar, co-chair of SDC, said that the symposium held by SDC were “characterized by transparency and boldness in their opinions.”

She added, “The participants focused on the importance of the intra-Syrian dialogue to find solutions to the Syrian crisis, and to contribute for the development of the Democratic Autonomous Administration.”

SDC held, during the past two months, 13 dialogue symposium across North and East Syria aiming to guarantee the rights of all peoples in a united Syria, promoting participation in the institutions of the Autonomous Administration in North and East Syria (AANES), developing and empowering Autonomous and Civil administrations, and under the slogan “Towards a National Conference for the People of Jazirah and Euphrates.

The symposiums focused on two main axes:

The historical relations between the peoples of the region and their role in building the future of Syria, and the importance of preserving the Autonomous Administration project and the challenges it has faced since its establishment.

The other axis included the intra-Syrian dialogue, whether with the Syrian opposition or the Syrian government, as well as the intra-Kurdish dialogue.

It is assumed that a National Conference for the peoples of the Jazirah and the Euphrates will be held at the end of this month.
