Syria’s Autonomous Administration to reopen crossing with opposition-held areas

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) decided on Wednesday to reopen the Aoun al-Dadat crossing with Turkish-backed Euphrates Shield-held areas in the countryside of Manbij, northern Syria.

The decision allows the entry of AANES residents under personal identifications.

It also allows the exit of those came in under visitor cards.

The decision noted the formation of a health committee to test arrivals through the crossing.

Armed opposition groups in the Euphrates Shield area had closed Aoun al-Dadat and Um-Jalud crossings points on March 13 due to the outbreak of coronavirus.

Aoun al-Dadat and Um-Jalud crossings are two of the most important commercial crossing points between Manbij and Jarabulus, northern Syria, where food, vegetables, and other goods are imported to Manbij.
