Clashes between Syrian government, opposition groups in Syria’s Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Clashes took place on Saturday south of Idlib between the Syrian government and Turkish-backed armed opposition groups, coinciding with mutual artillery shelling.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) confirmed that mutual artillery shelling and clashes took place south of Idlib between the government and opposition groups, without recorded casualties.
Furthermore, Syrian government forces targeted areas in Ghab Plain northwest of Hama.
Additionally, clashes took place between the two parties west of Aleppo, in conjunction with other clashes in Saraqeb in the countryside of Idlib.
The clashes took place coinciding with Turkish shelling on the government points on the outskirts of Saraqeb.
SOHR added that the clashes that took place on Saturday morning killed and injured a number of pro-government soldiers who had entered a minefield.
In this regard, Turkish-backed armed opposition groups stationed in Idlib bombed government points on the outskirts of Nubl south Idlib, without recorded losses.
Idlib province witnessed continuous Russian and Turkish reconnaissance flights on Friday, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
