Israel to agree in principle to ‘deal of century’, the Palestinians on the sidewalk – Analyst

An invitation not to participate in the deal of the century

The Israeli scholar and political researcher Dr. Mordechai Kedar told North-Press expecting that Israel would accept the deal of the century in principle, while retaining other details, but he does not rule out that Israel would give up in a limited way for peace.

 

Dr. Kedar considered that the ball will move to the Palestinian court after the announcement of the ‘deal of the century’ this evening, and since the Palestinian Authority rejects the U.S. deal altogether, Dr. Kedar is likely that Trump would always blame the Palestinians for the failure of his deal, while Israel would win the U.S. and the international public opinion that it seeks peace contrary to the Palestinians, according to Kedar.

 

He said: "Israel and the Arab countries will walk on the train, and the Palestinians will find themselves on the sidewalk."

 

Regarding the details of the deal of the century, Dr. Mordechai Kedar said: "I do not know the details, perhaps what has been published and what has been leaked about some details is true and perhaps is not true; we have to wait to see the details then we can comment on them more accurately."

 

President Trump is going to officially announce the details of the peace plan, known in the media outlets as the ‘deal of the century’, at 7:00 p.m., after discussions with the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the leader of White and Blue Alliance Benny Gantz in Washington yesterday.

 

The Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has called for an emergency leadership meeting to be held in conjunction with the announcement of the U.S. deal at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah to discuss the measures to confront this deal.

 

The Palestinian presidency also called on the Arab and Muslim ambassadors, who were invited to attend the announcement of the deal of the century today not to participate in these ceremonies, which it considered a conspiracy aimed at undermining the Palestinian rights and thwarting the establishment of the State of Palestine with its capital, East Jerusalem.
