Northern Aleppo – North-Press Agency
A child was killed while ten civilian IDPs from the city of Afrin were injured in the northern countryside of Aleppo as they were shot by Syrian government forces on Saturday, while they were heading to the city of Aleppo by smugglers via the city of Nubl.
According to our reporter in the northern countryside of Aleppo, the smuggler had put 29 people, including children, into a jeep car, dark blue color, and then headed to Aleppo by Tal Jabeen road.
As the car arrived at the Syrian government security checkpoint, the driver did not stop and tried to escape and pass the security checkpoint, because the Syrian government forces had prevented the people of Afrin by entering the city of Aleppo, the members of the security forces at the checkpoint shot directly at the car, killing a child and wounding at least ten civilians.
Thousands of residents of the northern Syrian city of Afrin were forced to leave their homes on March 18 of last year, due to the Turkish military campaign, supported by pro-Turkish Syrian Islamist groups, which was launched against Afrin region.
While the Syrian government forces prevent the people of Afrin by entering Aleppo, by forcing them to reside in camps and villages in the northern Aleppo countryside, mostly controlled by the Syrian and Russian forces, whom in turn prevent the civilians to reach Aleppo, while forcing them to stay in those areas.

On the other hand, many convoys of smugglers were robbed and looted besides the killing of at least 30 people as a result of entering into landmine areas.
