US-led Coalition forces reinforce observation points amid Turkish threats

The US-led Global Coalition to defeat ISIS in Syria have reinforced today their observation posts at the Syrian-Turkish borders near the city of Ras al-Ein, northeastern Syria after the Turkish army had targeted the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) positions outside the city yesterday at night.
Local activists published video footage showing two military vehicles with the US flag heading towards the village of Tal Arqam west of the city of Ras al-Ein, where the American observation post is located.
While eyewitnesses stated to North-Press that four US military vehicles had arrived at their post in the village of Tal Arqam.
For his part, the commander of Military Council of Ras al-Ein Imad Meno told North-Press that the Global Coalition fighter jets have flown over the area, in a monitoring mission of the borders between Turkey and SDF controlled areas in northern Syria.
The formation of Ras al-Ein Military Council was announced on June 27 in the framework of restricting and reorganizing SDF in accordance with the security, political and military conditions after the phase of ISIS territorial defeat on 23 of last March.
It’s worth mentioning that an identified shell hit the border Turkish town of Ceylanpinar last night, the shell was launched from the Syrian side, while the SDF denied its responsibility for shell, stressing that it was “a provocative action by unknown persons who want to create strife and damage the stability in the region.”
The shell hit a house in Ceylanpinarr, six civilians were injured, as the Turkish army targeted some SDF points near Ras al-Ein, identified as pre-targets, according to a statement by the Turkish Ministry of Defense.
