Turkish-backed armed opposition groups have arrested on Tuesday a member of the "Regional Committee" of the Syrian-Kurdish Yeketi Party and a member of the local council of the Kurdish National Council in Syria (ENKS). A local source has told North-Press that the Turkish-backed Syrian armed opposition militias have arrested “Nasraddin Habash” after he managed to return to his house in Sere-Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), last Monday.
The source, who did not want to reveal his identity for fears of being arrested by those armed militants, has confirmed that Habash is still detained and under investigation by Turkey-backed militants.
Habash is an active member of the Syrian-Kurdish Yekity Party, while central committee member, Abdullah Gaddo is a leading member of Istanbul-based Syrian National Coalition.
Turkish-backed armed opposition groups, operating under the name of the National Army, are loyal to the Syrian National Coalition, of which the Kurdish National Council (ENKS) also makes up a part of it.
