Syrian government forces bombard northwest Saraqib in breach of ceasefire agreement

On Tuesday, Syrian government forces violated the ceasefire agreement by targeting positions of Turkish backed armed opposition groups northwest of the town of Saraqib, in northwestern Syria.
A field source told North-Press that Syrian government forces bombarded positions of armed opposition groups in the town of Afes with artillery, northwest of Saraqib, without receiving information regarding casualties.
Three days ago, Syrian government forces in the area of Kansaba targeted a Turkish observation post in the town of al-Najiya in the western countryside of Idlib governorate.
In similar news, violent clashes took place a few days ago between Turkish-backed armed opposition groups and Syrian government forces in the areas of al-Fatira and Kafr Nabl, which were accompanied by heavy artillery shelling by government forces in Idlib's southern countryside.
The breach of the ceasefire occurs in light of the ongoing absence of warplanes in the airspace of the region for the 26th consecutive day from the start date of the ceasefire.
