Two Syrian government soldiers killed by Turkish bombing of Tal Tamr countryside amidst displacement of civilians

On Thursday, Turkish forces and their affiliated armed opposition groups targeted the northwestern villages of Tal Tamr, northwest of Hasakah, killing two members of the Syrian government forces and wounding several others. The continued bombardment, still ongoing at the time of this report, led to civilian displacement towards the town of Tal Tamr.

Director of the Martyr Legerin Hospital, Hassan Amin, told North-Press that two members of the Syrian government forces, one of whom was a captain, died, and six others were wounded in the shelling of the checkpoint at Abboush village, northwest of Tal Tamr.

North-Press observed the shelling of the Turkish forces and their affiliated opposition groups that targeted the villages of Abboush, Bab al-Khair, Sheikh Ali, al-Qasimiya, and Mahmudiya, northwest of the town of Tal Tamr, since Thursday morning.
The shelling reached the village of Um al-Keif, in the Tal Tamr countryside, causing injury to a civilian with special needs.

Hundreds of residents of these villages have fled to the town of Tal Tamr due to the bombing of Turkish forces and their opposition groups.

Today, Thursday, Turkish forces bombed the village of Ziyarah, in the Shirawa district, south of Afrin, with heavy weapons and artillery, though no casualties were reported.
