Anti-Terror Forces arrest man accused of bombings and murder of civilians

Special sources of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) stated that on Sunday, in a joint operation with the U.S.-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, the SDF-affiliated Anti-Terror Forces (YAT) arrested a man accused of carrying out bombings and causing the killing of a number of civilians.

The sources stated that YAT forces surveilled Saher Faysal al-Khadr for some time, and on Sunday, they launched a joint operation with the Global Coalition forces in the city of Raqqa in northern Syria, which resulted in al-Khadr’s arrest.

Al-Khadr is accused of belonging to the Islamic State terrorist group (ISIS), and of carrying out bombings that caused the killing of a great number of civilians in different regions of northeastern Syria.

Recently, the activities of ISIS members have increased in many areas of northeastern Syria, which has led to an increase in SDF operations against ISIS leaders and sleeper cells.

        
On April 11, the SDF arrested Hamad Rashed Ziyab, who was the Emir of what is called the Health Bureau of ISIS in the town of al-Shaddadi, northeastern Syria.
In mid-April, the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS renewed their pledge to fight ISIS, and the continuity of providing support for their partner forces in Iraq and Syria.
