Yesterday, Tuesday, unidentified gunmen stormed a military post belonging to Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) in the northern Idlib countryside, as clashes erupted between the two parties, causing casualties among the attackers.
A field source told North-Press that unknown persons attacked an HTS artillery headquarters near the village of al-Foa in the northern countryside of Idlib, escalating to clashes between the two parties which led to injuries among the attackers.
On May 4, unknown persons raided the headquarters of the Turkish-backed Sham Legion, near the village of al-Foa, seizing all of its equipment including weapons, ammunition, machinery, and mobile devices without arrests.
Earlier this month, the region witnessed skirmishes between members of the Sham Legion and HTS in the town of Kafr Takharim in the northwestern countryside of Idlib, after Sham Legion militants took over the town's outpost, which was shared between the two parties.
Security tensions and skirmishes have persisted since the beginning of this year between the HTS and Turkish-backed National Front for Liberation, as well as other opposition factions present in the de-escalation areas in Idlib.
