On Sunday, an infant was injured as a result of a house fire in the Kornish neighborhood, western Qamishli, northeastern Syria, after which he was transferred to a hospital in the city.
Maram Mahawish, a relative of the child, said that the fire broke out in the kitchen while cleaning, after some diesel leaked from their heater.
The firefighting team managed to put out the fire, while the emergency team transported the infant to the hospital. The fire caused the burning of the entire kitchen and the tools inside, in addition to material damage in the rooms of the house, according to the child's family.
On last Friday and Saturday, seven people lost their lives as the result of a fire in one of the tents in the Newroz camp, Derik countryside, in northeastern Syria. The camp includes hundreds of IDPs from Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) and its countryside.
