Crisis Management Team in Tabqa, western Raqqa, completes precautionary measures for coronavirus

In its sixth meeting on Sunday, the Crisis Management Team in Tabqa city, western Raqqa, approved several new decisions to complement preventive measures to combat coronavirus, including dividing the area into sectors to relieve the people and prevent gatherings.

The new decisions included dividing the region into sectors and providing them with ambulances, to “relieve the citizens, hospitals and health centers to prevent gatherings there.”  

The precautionary measures included preparing a quarantine near Tabqa crossing, through which arrivals will be subjected to a quarantine for a period of 14 days, and placing a special cemetery near the crossing to bury the dead coming from outside the region.

The Crisis Management Team confirmed that sterilization campaigns will continue in the city, districts, and towns of the Civil Administration in Tabqa, and that the second phase will begin.  

All checkpoints will facilitate the passage of vehicles for transporting foodstuffs, vegetables and milk that enter the city and its districts and towns.

The Team noted that it is necessary for citizens to abide by the decisions issued by the team, and not to leave their homes except for the absolute necessity to meet family needs, and that the security forces will tighten their procedures to implement the lockdown.  

It is noteworthy that the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has set 15 days as a period of lockdown in all its regions, which started on Monday, the 23rd of March, with “the possibility of extension in case of necessity and public interest.”
