Raqqa residents called to abide by curfew via loudspeakers

On Friday, members of the area of al-Kasrat Council, in the southern countryside of the city of Raqqa, alerted the residents of the villages of al-Kasrat, Ratlah, al-Akeirshi, and al-Dalha via loudspeakers to the necessity of staying in their houses and not going out except at the specified times from 6 to 10 a.m.

Hajji al-Shehab, a member of al-Kasrat Council of the Civil Administration in Raqqa, said to North-Press that the commitment of the people in the villages of the southern countryside to the curfew was about 80% in the past days, and this measure came to motivate them more to abide by the curfew.

For his part, Reibar Berro, an official in the media of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in Raqqa, explained to the residents of the necessity of full commitment to the decisions of the crisis management team, which has been formed by the Autonomous Administration, as it is “in their interest, for the sake of their health and the health of their children.”

Berro noted the exceptions of emergency and humanitarian cases from the restrictions imposed by Asayish of all its departments.

With the start of the announcement of the Autonomous Administration to impose lockdown in its areas, in order to assess the situation of the region in light of the curfew, a twelve-member crisis management team was formed in Raqqa in order to confront the coronavirus.

On March 19, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria announced a lockdown in all its regions, starting from Monday morning, March 23rd, to continue for 15 days with the possibility of extension, as a precautionary measure against the coronavirus.
