The Turkish Defense Ministry announced on Monday evening that it had responded to two shells fired from Syrian territories, which hit the district of Ceylanpinar in the Turkish southeastern province of Sanliurfa, by destroying seven targets on the Syrian side.
Sanliurfa Governorate had indicated the fall of two shells from the Syrian side in the border district of Ceylanpinar, which hit a family estate, adjacent to the Syrian city of Ras al-Ein in northern Syria, six people, including a child, were injured.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense stated that this response comes within “legitimate” defense, stressing that this response “had destroyed seven targets on the Syrian side, those targets were previously identified”.
While the official SDF spokesman Kino Gabriel has confirmed that unknown persons, to create strife and harm the region, had fired a shell from northern Syria that hit the town of Ceylanpinar inside the Turkish territories, while confirming conducting investigations to uncover the associated persons with the incident.
