Gen. Mazloum Abdi: We have discussed recent border issues with Gen. McKenzie

General Mazloum Abdi (also known as Mazloum Kobani) the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said today in a press statement following his meeting with General Kenneth F. McKenzie, the commander of United States Central Command and the US Ambassador William Ruback, that several issues were discussed, mainly the Turkish threats to the region.
General Abdi said: “We’ve met with Gen. Kenneth McKenzie, the commander of the US Central Command and discussed several issues, including the current problems on the borders with Turkey and the ways to resolve them.”
The SDF commander-in-chief added that joint visions were also discussed with the Global Coalition to defeat ISIS, especially with regard to the elimination of the Islamic State threats, in addition to discussing the situation of IDP camps and ISIS families and the detainees in Syria’s Democratic Forces detention centers.
General Abdi stressed on the common visions between the two sides regarding confronting the current problems that threaten the security of the region.
The US high-level delegation has arrived earlier today, and held a meeting with Syrian Democratic Forces senior command in northern Syria, to discuss the recent security situation in the region and the assurances by the US side regarding the recent Turkish threats to the north and northeastern Syria territories.
