Iraq raises security and combat readiness

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Iraq’s Security Media Cell announced on Thursday that the country’s security and military forces have raised their level of readiness and enhanced combat preparedness under new directives issued by the country’s leadership.

In a statement posted on X, the Security Media Cell said the measures were ordered by Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi in his capacity as commander-in-chief of the armed forces.

The statement said authorities had decided to raise the level of security readiness and combat preparedness across the security and military forces.

It added that the move is intended to ensure the implementation of training activities and unit movements as part of maintaining a high level of operational readiness across all security force formations.
