Syria releases 2026 General Secondary Certificate exam results
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Syria’s Ministry of Education announced on Monday evening the results of the 2026 General Secondary Certificate examinations across all streams.
In a statement published on its official platforms, the ministry said a total of 341,183 students sat the exams, including 201,369 in the scientific stream. The pass rate reached 65.3% for regular students and 47.5% for private candidates.
The ministry added that 115,046 students took the literary stream exams, with a pass rate of 68.2% for regular students and 48.8% for private candidates.
It also said 2,697 students sat the Sharia secondary exams, recording a pass rate of 69.3%, while 22,128 students took vocational secondary exams, with a pass rate of 39.4%.
