Over 3.4 million travelers crossed Syrian border crossings in 4 months
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – More than 3,415,000 travelers crossed Syrian border crossings during the first four months of 2026, including 1,266,000 arrivals from Lebanon, an official from the Syrian General Authority for Land and Sea Ports said on Saturday.
Mazen Alloush, Director of Relations at the authority, said in a post on X that the Jusiyah Border Crossing with Lebanon is witnessing “smooth passenger movement thanks to the organization and facilitation measures provided at the crossing.”
The crossing plays a key role in facilitating the return of Syrians to the country, amid ongoing efforts to streamline procedures and provide logistical support for travelers, Alloush added.
He noted that these measures aim to ease transit procedures and contribute to greater stability for returnees entering Syria through official border points.
