QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli military forces entered several areas of Quneitra province in southern Syria on Saturday, according to local sources.
Local sources told North Press that an Israeli patrol consisting of three military vehicles advanced to the outskirts of al-Rafid town in southern Quneitra countryside.
The sources said the patrol established a temporary checkpoint in the area and questioned several shepherds before withdrawing.
Another Israeli force reportedly entered the Mazraat al-Fityan area in southern Quneitra countryside and set up a temporary checkpoint on the al-Asbah–Mazraat al-Fityan road, where soldiers stopped vehicles and searched passersby.
In a separate incident, an Israeli patrol made up of four military vehicles entered the town of Sida al-Hanout and raided a house, searching it without recording any arrests, according to the sources.
Local sources also reported that an Israeli military patrol consisting of five vehicles advanced along the “al-Kassarat” road in Jbata al-Khashab, reaching the village of Ain al-Bayda in northern Quneitra countryside.
Israeli forces have repeatedly carried out incursions and patrol movements in areas near the Syrian border in Quneitra governorate in recent months.
