QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli military forces carried out a new incursion on Friday into al-Razaniya village in the southern countryside of Quneitra, in Syria’s far southwest, according to local media reports.
The reported movement came hours after Israeli forces detained a man while he was tending his cattle near the village of Sayda al-Hanout in Quneitra countryside earlier on Friday.
Local media said the Israeli force consisted of eight military vehicles that advanced toward the outskirts of al-Razaniya village before conducting field movements in the area.
The reports added that the forces later withdrew from the village without raiding homes or detaining residents.
The purpose of the recent Israeli military movements in the area remains unclear, according to local sources.
Israeli forces have repeatedly carried out military operations and incursions in areas of southern Syria bordering the occupied Golan Heights, particularly following the escalation of regional tensions in recent months.
