ISIS attack kills 2 customs officers in Aleppo countryside
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Two customs officers were killed and two others injured on Tuesday after an attack targeted a customs patrol in the al-Safira area of Aleppo countryside.
Colonel Mohammad Abdulghani, head of internal security in Aleppo, said, “The Ministry of Interior took a series of urgent security measures following the attack on the customs patrol in al-Safira, which led to the martyrdom of two officers and injury of two others.”
He added that internal security forces intervened and clashed with members of a cell linked to the Islamic State (ISIS), noting that one of the attackers detonated himself during the confrontation, killing himself without causing further casualties among security personnel.
