Civil Defense recovers remains of five near Manbij, Aleppo
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Civil defense teams in Aleppo recovered on Thursday the remains of at least five people east of the city of Manbij in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, near a residential house, according to the Syrian Civil Defense.
In a statement, the Syrian Civil Defense said that its specialized teams headed to the site after the discovery, coordinating with the public prosecution and security authorities.
The organization stated that an official report was opened regarding the incident while teams supervised the process of recovering the remains.
“The remains were scattered on open ground near a house and belong to at least five people,” the statement said.
Civil defense teams documented the site and followed established protocols for documenting, collecting, and recovering the remains before preparing them to be handed over to the relevant authorities for further procedures.
Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding the identities of the victims or the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
