Israeli force arrests man in Syria’s Quneitra incursion

QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – An Israeli military force carried out on Tuesday an incursion into the town of Saida al-Golan in the southern countryside of Quneitra, southern Syria, raiding a home and arresting one person after conducting searches and causing damage to the property.

A local source told North Press that more than 10 Israeli military vehicles carrying soldiers entered the town from the border strip and deployed across its streets before surrounding a residential house.

The source said the soldiers stormed the targeted home and carried out a thorough search, breaking doors and ransacking its contents, resulting in material damage inside the property.

The source added that the soldiers arrested an individual and took him into the occupied territories.

The incursion coincided with the flight of Israeli reconnaissance drones over the area, the source said, noting that no further information was available regarding the reasons for the arrest at the time of publication.

On Monday, an Israeli army patrol arrested three individuals during a separate incursion into the countryside of Quneitra, amid a noticeable increase in cross-border operations carried out inside Syrian territory.

Over the past two days, Quneitra Governorate has witnessed a marked escalation in such incursions, during which several civilians have reportedly been detained.
