Syrian Defense Ministry delegation visits Hasakah to discuss SDF integration

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Defense is set to travel to Hasakah to discuss measures for integrating members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into the national military, the Ministry’s Media and Communication Department announced on Friday.

The move follows the entry of government security forces into Hasakah on Monday, carried out under the agreement between the Syrian government and the SDF, aimed at enhancing security and stability in the northeastern governorate.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the meetings and field visits are designed to facilitate the integration process and ensure a smooth transition, reflecting the Syrian state’s commitment to fully implement the provisions of the agreement.

The delegation’s visit will include consultations with local military and security units, as well as coordination with SDF representatives to organize the procedures for personnel integration while maintaining operational readiness in the region.

Officials emphasized that the initiative seeks to strengthen security arrangements in Hasakah while supporting orderly administrative and military cooperation between the Syrian authorities and the SDF.
