Syrian government forces enter Hasakah under deal with SDF
HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Government security forces entered on Monday the city of Hasakah in northeastern Syria, in accordance with the agreement reached between the Syrian transitional government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
Earlier in the day, a security source told North Press that a convoy of security forces of the Syrian Ministry of Interior was scheduled to enter Hasakah at 02:00 PM.
The source said the convoy consists of around 100 personnel, including officers.
According to the source, the forces were set to deploy first in the town of Hawl in the southeastern countryside of Hasakah before proceeding into the city.
Shortly before the government security convoy entered Hasakah, warplanes from the Global Coalition were seen flying over the city.
