Unknown gunmen carry out 3 separate attacks against SDF in Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Three separate attacks targeted on Friday night the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in different areas of Deir ez-Zor countryside, eastern Syria, leaving one fighter wounded and causing material damage.
A military source from the SDF in Deir ez-Zor told North Press that unidentified gunmen attacked an SDF post in the town of Diban, east of Deir ez-Zor, using machine guns and two RPG-7 rounds.
The assault triggered brief clashes between the two sides that lasted several minutes, with damage limited to property.
The source added that a second attack was carried out by unidentified gunmen who targeted another SDF post in the village of Marrat using hand grenades and machine-gun fire, without causing significant damage.
In a separate incident, unidentified gunmen opened fire on an off-duty SDF fighter in the town of al-Suwar, north of Deir ez-Zor, wounding him. The injured fighter was transferred to the town’s hospital to receive medical treatment.
