SDF, Global Coalition capture two ISIS members in Raqqa

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), in coordination with the U.S.-led Global Coalition, carried out a security operation targeting wanted individuals affiliated with the Islamic State (ISIS) in the northern Raqqa countryside, northern Syria, military sources told North Press on Wednesday evening.

According to the sources, the joint operation resulted in the capture of two ISIS members. The operation was supported by helicopters belonging to the Global Coalition.

Earlier on Wednesday, the SDF announced that it had conducted a separate security operation in the western Deir ez-Zor countryside, during which its forces arrested members of an ISIS cell and dismantled a car bomb, as part of ongoing efforts to counter the group’s activities in the region.
