Mass grave discovered in Damascus’ al-Qadam neighborhood
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Syria’s state-run SANA agency reported on Monday evening that maintenance workers in Damascus’ al-Qadam neighborhood discovered human remains belonging to three bodies in what appeared to be a mass grave.
According to the report, local authorities were immediately notified and began carrying out necessary examinations at the site to determine whether additional bodies might be present.
Images published from the scene showed security forces and local officials cordoning off the area as investigations got underway.
Authorities have not yet released any information about the identity of the victims or the circumstances surrounding their deaths. Investigations remain ongoing.
