QAMISHILI, Syria (North Press) – Syria’s Supreme Electoral Committee announced on Sunday that parliamentary elections will be held on October 5, 2025, across the country’s electoral districts.
In a statement on its official Telegram channel, the committee said the decision was made based on the provisions of the constitutional declaration and presidential decrees No. 66 and No. 143 of 2025.
The committee also issued on Saturday a decision to extend the deadline for submitting appeals against members of the electoral bodies until the close of official working hours on Sunday, September 21, 2025.
The announcement sets the stage for the next round of People’s Assembly elections, with preparations now underway to finalize electoral rolls and complete the registration process.
