Jordan, UAE reaffirm support for Syria’s unity and stability

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – During the opening session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level in Cairo on Thursday, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates reiterated their support for Syria’s unity and stability, rejecting any foreign interference in its internal affairs.

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said that “Jordan stands with Syria against any attempts at division, supporting its unity, security, and stability.”

He added that Jordan backs reconstruction and rebuilding efforts in Syria, aiming to protect the country’s security, sovereignty, and the well-being of its citizens.

Safadi stressed that resolving issues in southern Syria should be done in coordination with the Syrian government, preserving national unity and the rule of law, while warning against the consequences of Israeli attacks on Syrian territory.

UAE Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar emphasized the importance of security, peace, and stability in Syria.

He noted that the UAE is committed to supporting all efforts that aim to meet the aspirations of the Syrian people in security and development, within the framework of Syria’s territorial unity and respect for its sovereignty.

This position aligns with regional efforts, including the stance of the Autonomous Administration in northeast Syria ( AANES), which emphasizes rejecting foreign interference and leaving Syrian affairs to Syrians themselves, while promoting a decentralized system that ensures the rights and participation of all communities.
