Erdogan says Turkey is guarantor of security, stability for Syria’s Kurds

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that Turkey is the guarantor of the security, stability, and well-being of the Kurds in Syria, as well as all other communities in the region.

Speaking at a ceremony marking the 954th anniversary of the Battle of Manzikert in eastern Turkey, Erdoğan said, “We defend permanent peace throughout the whole region. We aim for problems to be solved through dialogue and diplomacy,” underlining that those who turn to Ankara and Damascus will prevail.

“Let no one forget that we, as Turks, Arabs and Kurds, will live side by side in this region until the apocalypse.”

He emphasized that Turkey serves as a safe haven for communities facing hardship beyond its borders, adding that Ankara remains committed to supporting the establishment of lasting peace across the region.
