UK Syria Rep voices concern over Suwayda Hospital killings video

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The British special representative to Syria, Anne Snow, expressed deep concern on Monday regarding a video circulated on social media depicting the killing of civilians and medical staff at Suwayda National Hospital.

The video, which has drawn wide attention, shows armed men wearing uniforms resembling those of the Syrian  security forces executing some civilians and healthcare workers inside the hospital.

Earlier on Monday, the Syrian Ministry of Interior acknowledged monitoring the video, describing it as “painful,” while condemning and denouncing the act.

Anne Snow tweeted on X: “I am deeply troubled by the video circulating of civilian killings at the National Hospital in Suwayda from last month. It reinforces the urgent need to hold the perpetrators of all violence accountable.”

This incident highlights the continuing humanitarian concerns facing Syria’s civilians and healthcare personnel amid the country’s protracted conflict.

Authorities have yet to release further details on investigations or measures taken following the video’s circulation.
