Ukraine, Russia report conflicting drone interception figures

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The Ukrainian Air Force announced on Sunday that it had shot down 70 out of 100 drones launched by Russian forces overnight on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported on Saturday that its air defenses had intercepted and destroyed 82 Ukrainian drones over several regions of the country during the same period.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the intercepted drones included: 31 over the Sea of Azov, 11 over Crimea, 10 over Rostov Oblast, 9 over Krasnodar Krai, 8 over the Black Sea, 7 over Volgograd Oblast, 4 over Belgorod Oblast, and one each over Kursk and Oryol Oblasts.

The claims from both sides could not be independently verified, and the reported figures reflect the ongoing intensity of the drone warfare between the two countries.
