Israeli forces withdraw from southern Syria after brief incursion
QUNEITRA, Syria (North Press) – Israeli military forces withdrew on Tuesday from several villages in the Quneitra countryside in southern Syria following a brief incursion that lasted several hours.
A local source told North Press that Israeli forces entered the villages of Buraika and Bir Ajam, conducting operations in the area.
The source added that Israeli forces also entered the village of Kodna, patrolling through it before heading toward the nearby town of Buraika.
During the incursion, a temporary checkpoint was established between Kodna and Buraika. The troops reportedly raided residential units on the outskirts of Buraika, searched the premises, and later withdrew.
According to the source, the forces eventually retreated toward the Golan Heights, noting that Israeli patrols have increasingly entered the area—now occurring on an almost daily basis.
