Kurdish Red Crescent sends aid convoy to civilians in Syria’s coast
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – The Kurdish Red Crescent (KRC) sent on Monday a humanitarian aid convoy from the city of Hasakah, northeastern Syria, to civilians in the Syrian coast.
Ahmad Ibrahim, a member of the General Administration of the KRC, told North Press that the initiative was launched in response to urgent appeals from residents of the Syrian coast, who are struggling under dire living conditions.
“The aid has been gathered from the region’s residents, civil society organizations, local merchants, warehouses, and the KRC in northeastern Syria,” Ibrahim explained.
The convoy consists of 20 trucks carrying 10,000 food and hygiene baskets. It began its journey in Qamishli, passing through Hasakah, and will proceed through Raqqa and Tabqa before reaching the Syrian coast.
