Turkish-backed forces launch attacks near Kobani, SDF repels offensive 

KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Tuesday that Turkish forces and their affiliated factions launched multiple attacks on positions around the Qaraqozaq Bridge in the countryside of Kobani.

According to the SDF, all assaults were successfully repelled by their forces.

In an official statement, the SDF reported that the Turkish forces and their affiliated armed factions carried out indiscriminate shelling on several villages, including al-Tina, Jada, Bir Hasso, Ghesq, Deikan, Malha, Qulhayda, and al-Sana, in addition to targeting the Sifi and Qaraqozaq hills with more than 60 artillery shells.

The bombardment resulted in significant material damage to civilian homes and properties.

The SDF confirmed that several militants from the Turkish-backed factions were killed in clashes near the Qaraqozaq Bridge.

Additionally, the Turkish forces and their affiliated factions shelled the village of Abu Surra, west of Ain Issa town, causing further damage to civilian homes and properties, according to the statement.
