Global Coalition, SDF conduct military drills in Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The U.S.-led Global Coalition forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) carried out on Saturday joint military exercises at a base in the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside, eastern Syria.

A military source close to the SDF in Deir ez-Zor said that the drills included live ammunition and the use of various weapons, with helicopters and warplanes involved. The exercises, which lasted several hours, took place near the Coalition base in the al-Omar oil field.

The source emphasized that these exercises demonstrate the strong partnership between the SDF and the Coalition. He also noted that the drills will continue in the coming days, aiming to maintain control over the area and prevent the resurgence of the Islamic State (ISIS) in the region.
