Turkish drone strike kills child in northern Raqqa

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – A Turkish drone strike targeted a home in the village of Saqiro, near the town of Ain Issa in Raqqa northern countryside, northern Syria, killing a child, the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) announced on Sunday.

In an official statement, the Asayish condemned the attack, calling it a clear violation of international law and an attempt to destabilize Northeast Syria’s region.

The strike also caused significant material damage to the targeted home.

The Asayish extended their condolences to the family of the child who was killed in the attack.

This incident follows a separate Turkish bombardment on Saturday that left a woman and eight children injured in the village of Ashma, southwest of Kobani.
