SDF, Coalition conduct joint patrols, military drills in Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The U.S.-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) conducted on Saturday joint patrols in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
The forces also carried out military drills at the military base in the Conoco oil field, north of Deir ez-Zor. The exercises lasted for several hours.
A military source close to the SDF in Deir ez-Zor told North Press that the joint patrols covered several villages and towns in the eastern and northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
The source added that the Global Coalition and the SDF engaged in live-fire training exercises using light and heavy weapons at the Coalition’s base in the Conoco oil field.
According to the source, these drills are set to continue in the coming days, aiming to enhance the combat readiness of the forces involved.
