Rocket blasts rock government base in Syria’s Suwayda

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A series of rocket explosions occurred early on Saturday at a weapons warehouse of the Syrian government forces in the countryside of Suwayda, southern Syria.

According to the local news outlet Suwayda 24,the explosions were attributed to a fire that ignited in one of the rocket storage facilities at Base 405 of the government forces in the village of Majdal in the northwest of Suwayda. They shared images of debris from rockets that had landed in residential areas of the village.

There are currently no reports indicating that the site was deliberately targeted.

On Oct. 29, Israeli airstrikes targeted multiple sites of the government forces in the governorates of Quneitra, Daraa, and Suwayda in southern Syria.

Moreover, locals said they heard the blasts from around 05:00 AM to 07:00 AM.

So far, there are no reports of casualties, and government authorities have not issued any statements regarding the explosions.
